Super Bowl Sunday is about winning and loosing. On the field, we will find out. Off the field, we all ready know. As when some one looses, someone wins. Super Bowl Sunday is when it all comes together and this year is no different.

The #1 offense vs the #1 defense; you can’t script that any better; or so we thought, Richard Sherman decided to rewrite that script.  Who are you rooting for? Seattle now has the villain but is the underdog. Denver has the prodigal son but hasn’t yet proved his title. This will be a battle for the adages. But the battle for the ads has all ready been played.

Derrick Coleman knows a thing or two about the positives and negatives of life; as he was born with the greatest gift, perception. A company that knows; a thing or two, about positives and negatives, played a prediction.

A rivalry is born out of hatred; some are civil wars between the haves and have-nots but the best, are between teams that are exactly the same. He is being called a Dick from the opposition and a Sure Man from his fans and they are both right; Richard Sherman… 

Every now and again we can catch a glimpse of who Erin Andrews really is. In the progression and expansion of media it is no surprise that women are making more of an impression in a man’s domain. But I think its time we let her be Aaron Andrews.

Sideline Reporting has become the cliché role for the woman sportscaster with the exception of Craig Sager but then again his wardrobe may say something different. Coach speak; and anything from the book of clichés, will be well rehearsed on the sidelines, so no wonder these gals get stereotyped.

We all have been there before, well not exactly but even in a game of street ball the same emotion, the same feelings, the same thoughts have gone through our heads. So there is no need to ask. It doesn’t matter that that’s my cousin or brother I am going to do anything to score and then I am going to Disneyland.

Bondage; you are either a fan, or not. I think its time we either stop this entirely or take off the shackles and muzzles and let these women be themselves. Because the only thing that is being screwed is the beauty of the game and the women who aren’t faking it.

In yesterdays post game interview between Richard Sherman and Erin Andrews there was a lot of Q&A to be had but immediately after the game was not the time, nor place. Being a Monday Morning Quarterback has a negative connotation but it might be something positive for the interview process. Right, Wrong or Indifferent but why are we criticizing Richard Sherman for being himself when Erin Andrews isn’t even allowed to be herself.

In a day where pro athletes are further removed from our reality, it is no surprise we put them atop the throne. There are still some; that no matter how big they become, we can find a small piece of ourselves inside of them and though it is was their fate some of them can still relate.

It was inevitable that LeBron James and Alex Rodriguez would become lightning rods of attention. The difference: As they became king of their sports; one saw himself as king, the other saw himself as king of the people.

High School Gymnasiums during basketball games are becoming extremely bare in today's world. In a day of divorce and multi-parent families shouldn't there be a positive impact on attendance at high school sporting events. Shouldn’t our biggest fans be in the bleachers?

There are a lot of things we can cite for our success in winning Back to Back state championships; none more important than those who had our backs. Home or Away; we were never far from home. We weren’t the best because we were the best team. We were the best because we had a team.

A Family is the strongest corporation one can be a part of and your business is their business. If you don’t invest in your kids shooting jumpers don’t be surprised if they start shooting other things. We inherited your talent so inherently we are following in your footsteps. It’s time to change our change habits.

As the BCS era comes to a close; I note that this will be the peak, as it’s the flaws that made it flawless. Misery loves company. The company of misery was the BCS.

…If Marianne Williamson is correct then procrastination is her proof. No one knows it more than myself as I have been scared for a long time. At the proverbial rock bottom I no longer have a choice to be scared as I can’t get anymore lost. Though my life isn’t flashing in front of my eyes as it did in Germany, I do see my life.

There are several sayings in sports and life that at the surface make sense but if you think about them they are rather flabbergasting. None more than – He is a Down Hill Runner…

Broadcasters love the saying – you need to run North and South; which in itself is puzzling. As a viewer, the play on the field is always left to right (or right to left). However as all NFL Fields are built North and South their statement actually is correct.

Those same Broadcasters freely interchange the sayings of a North South Runner and a Down Hill Runner. But isn’t rushing up the middle an uphill battle? Further more due to the crown of the field if you were to literally run down hill you would run East or West.

Though I understand the meaning of the saying I just think it’s time we crown a new one. Depending on the direction of play I either want an Up Hill Runner or a Down Hill Runner. You thought Walter Payton was running up that hill to train - He actually was just practicing.

As we grow we become self aware and for me that began some time ago. I knew I didn’t dislike music but I knew I didn’t love it like everyone else. I have since discovered that I can not comprehend music and it’s lyric simultaneously. Due to my eyesight I can’t hear music…

The School Band; cliché. But what if it wasn’t?
